Ixa has more than 10 years of experience advising clients from the corporate, commercial, tax, regulatory, properties and energy law perspective.

Since Ixa obtained her law degree, she worked as part of a law firm advising financial entities, energy-generation companies in Panama, and clients interested in investing in Panama. Ixa participated in several transactions related to project financing, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Subsequently, Ixa joined the legal and finance team at Grupo Melo, one of the few Panamanian capital companies listed on the Panama Stock Exchange.

Currently, Ixa advises various clients including: family groups with investments and businesses in the Republic of Panama and abroad, companies operating in Panama and within free trade zones, and companies whose headquarters are in Panama but have operations in several Latin American countries.

Ixa provides her clients with comprehensive advice, addressing their day-to-day needs. She has extensive experience in preparing and negotiating corporate and commercial agreements; providing advice on tax matters, corporate matters, permits, properties, and the horizontal property regime; supporting her clients with their tax and estate planning; and applying for and obtaining residence permits for her clients.

Ixa has dedicated a great part of her spare time to teaching. She has been an adjunct professor of Quality Leadership University, teaching the International Law course and the Legal Environment of Business course.

Ixa is a founding partner of TLS.
